i5000

The i5000 software allows a PC to access the Daniel® µ5000 flowcomputer. It is a Microsoft® Excel® based package which provides:

• An operator interface for flowcomputer interrogation and data entry (µ5000)
• A configuration read and store facility, for recording the flowcomputer operator entries and calculation parameters (ReadFC and FC_Config)

For maximum portability, you can install the µ5000 software on a Handheld PC. Alternatively, for installations that need more flexibility, you can use a terminal server.

Technical Requirements

Operating System

Microsoft Windows 2000®, Windows XP®, or Windows Vista® Business.

Software Requirements

Microsoft Excel 2002 or higher.

Note, Microsoft Excel is not included with the i5000 user pack.

The µ5000 worksheet provides the operator interface to the µ5000 flowcomputer. It provides:

• Emulation of a flowcomputer keypad interface for navigation and data entry
• Two line, 32 character, alphanumeric display from the flowcomputer
• A flowcomputer communication failure signal
• Flowcomputer alarm and data entry status displays

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The ReadFC worksheet helps you to record flowcomputer parameters by:

• Providing a display to enable the selected flowcomputer menu to be interrogated
• Displaying the reply from the flowcomputer in a two-line, 32 character alphanumeric display
• Signalling a communication failure to the flowcomputer
• Showing the alarm and data entry status at the flowcomputer
• Recording the results to the worksheet FC_Config
• Providing a SAVE button to store the flowcomputer configuration to a workbook.

 

 

 

 

 

Read configuration parameters from the flowcomputer, and record them with a date stamp. The "SAVE" button allows you to store the configuration, prompting for a name and file location.
